FS2004 How to hide a Part ???

Hello
I have a Box for example, and in front a Polygone! What kind of Material or texture or what ever do I need for the Polygone, to hide the Box behind?
Important !!!! The Polygone must be 100% transparent !

Thanks for any Help !!!

You mean for the polygon to hide the entire box or just the shape of the poly? The two are not the same size so you can't hide the whole box that way.

Give the poly a transparent material AND transparent texture.

That might work. Search those terms on here if you are not sure how to do that in FSDS.

or just the shape of the poly?
Hi, I mean the shape of the Poly!

OK it is working like you say, but only if I give to the Box also a transparent Material! Now the Poly hides part's of the Box.
Fine, looks perfekt in FSDS, but if I look to it in the Flightsim, nothing is hidden by the Polygon again !!!

Hi,

Can you explain a bit more background? Why do you want that polygon to hide the object behind it, while the polygon itself should not be visible?

Hi Felix!
Sure I can...

Look at this Video: http://www.opus2.ch/HUD_Beispiel.wmv
There you see the HUD of the VRS Super-Hornet!
As you see the HUD Infos are only displayed on the HUD Glass itself!
What I did allready 1 Year ago is to place the HUD Gauge about 20 Meters befor the Aircraft! VRS did by the way the same thing!
Then I made a Polygon "around" the HUD Glass, so that everything outside of the Glass will be hidden, in our case the Gauge Background 20 Meters befor us! The Poly around the HUD Glass is the thing I am talking about! It should cover the Gauge Background if you look from a certain angle thrue the Hiding Poly to the Gauge Background.
I hope that was not to complicate :)
