• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

How-to Lower Stock Jetway?

I need to make a lower jetway that starts at ground level for a regional airport. When I uncheck, "snap to ground", then move it to the lower height, it will not snap to the forward piece, and I am left with an error. Does anyone know how to achieve this? --I know it's possible because I've seen lower jetways at several payware airports. I'm just hoping it's not a 3Ds Max only thing or something that requires a completely custom model to achieve.

--The best I could do to achieve it was to take a mini link and rotate it, still has gaps and looks a bit off but think it's the best I can do.

--Other challenge with this airport is that two parking spots share a jetway and FS20 does not allow that. So since each spot needs a jetway, I just merged the two in the same location so it looks like one when no planes are there, but will still function when planes are.

Instead of adding the jetway link as part of the gate parking, use the model by itself and position it where and how you want it. That's the easy solution if you don't want to create one from scratch.

For the second question. You can't share a jetway for 2 parking spots

Thank you for the link suggestion. The stand alone objects won't snap any differently, in this case.

The second part was not a question. Simply an explanation for how I'm dealing with the second challenge. Obviously two spots can't share a gate. That's why I create the illusion.
