• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

I am looking for this MFD and PFD screen set

Hey all,

I am looking for this set of MFD and PFD screens for FSX / Prepar3D.

Has anyone made this and if so, would you be interested in doing business?

This is for a Piaggio Avanti. I do not need weather radar if its not available. That can be filled with the standard FS9GPS system mixed with the various engine readout data, etc.

Bill,
That looks like a Rockwell Collins suite. Could be Proline 21 series. Check the Collins site for info.
Have a Happy New Year.

I've got 150 hours flying with it in the real world if you need help with it. Milviz has it in there King Air.

That is a Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 avionics system. Despite what people might tell you, it is not identical across airframes. It is extremely complex and would take someone hundreds of hours to fully develop it. XML isn't going to be powerful enough to support it.

Oh, and no... you can not 'fill it' with the stock GPS display. It has absolutely no such display capability... absolutely nothing resembling a Garmin map display at all.

I have done the Pro Line 21 for the Beechcraft C90 GTi, the King Air 350i, the Cessna Citation CJ1+. It is an avionics package I am intimately familiar with. And no... you can't afford me... sorry.

lolol... wow.. good...

Glad you laughed... I meant that as a joke... but looking back... might not have come across as one. Funny how our mind's work at 2:40 in the morning, eh? :sigh:

Anyway, I really do know the avionics very well having done the aforementioned projects for real world trainers.

Ed, sorry but you didn't do our PL-21. That was done by David Drouin.

Bill, our Avanti is very much advanced. Fair warning.

Colin... I don't believe the word MilViz is in my post. I believe I stated I made them for real world trainers (read certified by FAA, CAA etc), which MilViz does not make.

Hey Collin,

I didnt know you guys were doing one. I am sure it will be well beyond my capabilities. I hope it does awesome on the market.

I hate doing PFD's. I wish code writing were much easier for me. I can do them, but it takes me forever and I would rather pay someone to make them or pay royalties so that I can focus on the rest of the project.

I have also had it with 'sophisticated coding' for realism. I never knew there were so many people that knew so very little about reading manuals in the fs world. The Learjet was a real lesson for me in that department.

One of these days I hope I will have some time to help out a bit on PFDs like that Dynon....I love doing glass.

Hey Ian,

I have also had it with 'sophisticated coding' for realism. I never knew there were so many people that knew so very little about reading manuals in the fs world. The Learjet was a real lesson for me in that department.

Simmers are in reality two groups. Those that think they are pilots and those that are. Those that are, desire the full show whilst the former is divided into two further groups. Those that love to click on as many switches as they can and those who treat all aircraft like a car i.e. jump in and take-off.
They too are the ones into "Flight" and "FSX SE". If you're intending to do a highly detailed cockpit make sure it is aimed at the correct simmer which unfortunately means jacking up the price and not making it available on steam.

Woow ... not seem difficult, is line "collins" new. Images of pages exist PFD and MFD ..? The weather radar does not represent the actual (lower EICAS) the rest is realizable in XLM code programming ...

Hey Dannifly,

Yep. They appear to be quite easy looking. For the MFD, weather radar isnt needed unless you know of someone that has it and would negotiate integrating it.

I have not seen weather radar except the "reality xp" and closed in c ++ code. Do not see much information from the PFD. Multi Function Display shows, view three pages HSI (1) rose (2) mid rose (3) arc + EICAS + moving map, there is more information ..?

Oh... there is sooo much you're not 'seeing' regarding the PL21 displays. If you think you can even come remotely close based on a couple of pictures... I have this nifty bridge I want to sell you... and as I've stated, they are definitely unique per airframe.
