• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

MSFS20 ILS Course is wrong even on fully custom ILSs...

Has anyone else encountered the issue where you set a heading for the ILS for a runway, and when you test it, the ILS in the 320 shows a different CRS than the actual heading that was set when creating the ILSs?

My airport has a runway with 124 as its heading. I have added this to the ILS info, and also added magvar="2.2000000" (this airport has a 2.2 W magvar), and yet it still shows as CRS 126 when adding the frequency to the MDCU...

I have read a few posts about how the Magvar is now ignored by the sim (but I added it just in case), but how can it be that I enter 124 and it shows 126?
Are ILS course headings stored as default nav data that can't be changed?

The reason I noticed this is as the aircraft autolands to the right of the centerline.

(For clarity; Yes I have Delete All ILS set to TRUE in the XML. There are no errors when building package or saving.)

I know approximately nothing about scenery development, but I suggest to set the mag Var to 3 to see if the ILS is then 127, just to test if FS adds the runways heading and the magnetic variation. Just a suggestion...

Yeah I have tried setting the magvar to multiple different numbers and no luck. The sim is just completely ignoring the heading and magvar I set for the ILS, as even if I set the heading to 250 and magvar 13, it still shows a Course (CRS) of 126...
