• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

The idea of this thread is that you can use it to announce that you are working on a scenery. Just to let other developers know that an airport, city or region is in development. That way hopefully we won't work on the same addons without knowing it.

If you want to show the work in progress of your scenery, please create a separate thread in the showroom forum for it. Do not use this thread to post a lot of screenshots.

Decided to work on some Indonesian Airport, WAHQ and WICA (cant manage to find the pics, and too lazy to start msfs again hehe)
Both for MSFS Only (for now)

Other airports are
- OEMA and VABB for MSFS

This is a freeware update to L00 - Rosamond Skypark in Southern California. It was used in several movies over the years, most notably Iron Eagle as Alta Vista Field, the airfield where Doug Masters departs with the gang to fly The Snake.

I would love to add custom 3D buildings to match real life, but I'll either have to find someone who also wants to help out or take some time to get up to speed with modeling.

For 30 years I searched for this airport in real life and got to visit it in 2020. It is no longer used for movies and quite a lot has changed. This is only version 1 and further updates will happen as I add in more detail.

I'm still researching other filming locations, especially out at Valley of Fire State Park where the actual Snake scenes were filmed.

KLRD Laredo Intl
Currently just parking and taxiways (as the default parking is about as wrong as it's possible to be) but I'll be doing aprons, custom textures and buildings once that's done.

This has been a dream project for the last 30-35 years and while I started building the groundwork for the airport back in FS2004 and FSX, it was just more than I could easily get done as there are a Ga-billion cone and gable markers around the airport and runways 04L/22R & 04R/22L are very unique in that they have sealed thresholds but gravel/grass runways for the remainder of the surface.

Until I can get up to speed with 3D modeling to be proficient enough to model the actual on site hangars etc or find a 3D modeler who would like to collaborate, this is the freeware start to YBAF in Brisbane, Australia.

It's one of the main airports I learned to fly out of, and until today there's never been a version of YBAF in sim that has come close to looking like reality from a pilot's point of view. Now that the placeholder gable and cone markers are in, it finally looks and feels like home.

Still to do:
  • Generate new unique cone and gable markers that have better LOD settings so they are visible beyond 10 meters, also make yellow gable markers and light blue half size cone markers
  • Generate new Australian specification Windsocks, both lit and unlit
  • Add back in taxiway signs by hand as per real world locations and look/data
  • Remove extraneous vegetation on airport
  • Build grass exclude polygons to cut the overgrown grass from grass taxiways
  • Add Helipads to airport
  • Replace all airport light supports and lights for runways and taxiways
  • Re-do runways markings and replace generic markings with custom painted runway lines, threshold numbers and touchdown points etc
  • Add 10L/28R runup bay "J" paint markings
  • Rework all parking spaces and paths, current aircraft radius sizes are incorrect e.g. 7m vs 12m
  • Plant vegetation as per real world genus of trees and heights
  • A few other secret sauce things I can't mention yet, but it's gonna be great

Nice, I like it. Thanks for sharing it with us. I was searching for this https://parccgames.com/ website online because I want to know about do my math homework professional services and while searching for it online, I found your post and I can't stop myself from appreciating your work.

Looks good! If you need someone to create some simple 3D models for you, like markers, signs and stuff, I´d do that for you as long as it´s nothing too complicated (e.g. not a whole terminal building, though I could also provide a simple hangar or two if you have reference photos I could use).

Cheers, Fabian

Lots of beautiful scenery here. I probably should advise that KTTD Troutdale Oregon will be available as freeware, complete with opening hangar. Not really high on the list of most visited places, but just in case and one can always hope to change that. :)

I'm doing Chofu RJTF in Tokyo. Flown from there to the Izu islands in January and i am in love with it and the wee dorniers that serve it. hence, all custom everything (currently doing ground work/CGL and the 228s)

Continuing work on NAS Fort Worth JRB / Air Force Plant 4 in Fort Worth, TX. Still a long ways to go since I had to drop this project for a few months. Hoping now that my run station interiors are all completed that things will begin moving faster again. Here the runway is complete along with the Air Force Plant 4 ramps and run stations.

W.I.P :)
Piper Memorial Airport - KLHV

The satellite images around the area are not the best so I've tried to improve the color of the grass etc.
Will be freeware.
