• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

FSX:SE Incomplete Scenery Display?

Gentlemen, this has me stumped...the ADE files all look OK...Airport Backgrounds(flattens), Land Class, Ground Polys and Scenery Objects....but when loaded into FSX and running the program, it looks like there is a line drawn across part of the scenery and the only thing that shows on one side is the Scenery Objects, no other scenery changes. It is like a border that cannot be crossed. Any one have any ideas? I have attached a couple of screen grabs and the ADE files. Someone please take a look.

Thanks Tom, for looking…I may not have been clear, I am using FSX/SE for this and I just am at a loss. The airport portion is complete…this started when I decided to add some of the area around it…oh, well. I ove mputers! 😎

Have a lot of titles in your Addon Scenery folder, maybe GEX or other scenery enhancements? It can be useful to develop scenery on a default system set up, explore that title and deactivate it, to avoid conflicts and discrepancies. Especially if you end up sharing your scenery.
 
I highly doubt there is any difference between FSX and FSX:SE in this case. As Rick says, it's probably some other scenery or addon causing this.
 
Gentlemen, I thank you very much for your suggestions concerning the above problem...as of right now, I have done the following....deleted the troublesome layers (airport background, land class) and recreated them again....and low and behold, the scenery now looks as it should? That is all that I did! I have no understanding! I will continue with the project and we will see what follows.
