• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

Invisible rwy with SCASM - RwyLights

Hi Arno, thanks for your reply and i set light value to 3 because I was proving with some different values seeing the Scasm manuals and also I changed the surface value to -1 but the light appear partially and when you move it desappears, when you are on approach the lights are not visible, what could it be?

Hi guys, I solved the problem but its something strange, I just delete a layer of the runway and it works, I really dont understand what could it be I supouse the number of layers or something like that because that layer was made as the other layers via fs2002 gamepack.

Hi Cesar in my past experience if you have a Layer number 2 it causes problems. If you haven't already, start your layer numbers at 4. Also I would think if you have a large number of layers, say 40(!) you might want to merge those that you can.

I am not sure if this deserver own thread... somebody please move the post if you believe so.

So, I have played with SCASM runways a bit. I managed to make it show up where I wanted it, and to stop it causing flickers. Then I managed to make it show approach lights and TDZ lights on near side.

While being a bit problematic, eventually I managed, via use of two draws, to add a REIL light too (both REIL and TDZ light are uncombinable values of ThrLights parameter in Runway draw call. And by the way, REIL is value 04, not 02 as stated in SCASM documentation).

But I am having problem making RAIL type AppLts (value 08) to show up. Both 07 ALSF2 and 03 MALSR (on far side) show up normally. Has anyone tried and succeeded in placing this type of approach lighting on SCASM runway?

Also, having both TDZ and REIL showed does make a small glitch... but nothing to worry about too much.
