• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Is it possible to include DC-3/C-47 in my scenery ?

Hello,

My name is Didier PUENTES, I live in Paris and I am a Linux developer. My first hobby is to create FS airports round to Paris.
Actually, I am working on CERNY/La Ferté-Alais (ESSONNE) where each year a great and famous meeting is organised by AJS (Jean SALIS). My scenery is freeware and I will not make profit with it.

I have found in "FSDevelopper Downloads" a static "DC-3/C-47" created by adr179. I wonder if it is possible :
1) to create a new texture for it and to call this plane throught my scenery (and my BGL) ?
2) to include it in my scenery and to distribute as this ?

Thank you very much for yours answers.
Didier,

PS : Excuse me for my poor English ;-)

Hi,

The information from the author with the download says:

These files are freeware, use them as they are, modify them to your heart's content, even redistribute them if you'd like, but always as freeware.

So yes, it seems what you want is allowed, as long as your scenery will be freeware as well.

Hi,

Thank you very much Arno :) I'll be able to continue my development in this direction : freeware and open source of course.

Personally, Arno, I wanted to express my admiration and great respect for all your work on Microsoft Flight Simulator.

@+ Didier
