• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

"In 1942, President Franklin D. Roosevelt had established the "Manhattan Engineer District" for the purpose of developing an atomic bomb. By 1944, development of the bomb was under way and the B-29 Superfortress bomber was selected to deliver the weapon. General Henry "Hap" Arnold, Commander of the Army Air Forces, named Colonel Paul W. Tibbets, Jr. to head the select team. Only Tibbets knew the mission of the 509th Composite Group, and he chose Wendover Field, Utah, for training because of its isolation, the need for security, and the wide open spaces available for training"

"Currently, there is no scheduled airline service to Wendover. However, Xtra Airways offers charter flights to various cities across the United States from Wendover using Boeing 737-400 aircraft as part of a package deal to bring tourists to local casinos. On average, the airport will see one Xtra Airways flight per day.[3]"

Allegiant Air flying daily charter flights the same way Xtra does except they use the amazing Maddog.

FYI Mesa Gateway is on its final completion leg, and so far is compatible with FSX.

SPECTACULAR!!! I'm so glad you're doing this airport. I use KENV and the area around it as a test bed when I'm trying out new planes I get for FS. Looking very good!

Thank you,

I started this 2 days ago, and I plan on putting some generic buildings down (unless I can find some pictures of the buildings, maybe google earth panorama).
I still need to make the SCASM lights, and improve the ramp area a bit, and add some ramp lights, and also correct the AFCAD.

It features:
3d Taxiway lights Dusk-Dawn
High Res runway/taxiways/photoreal area
Realistic taxiway edges and lines.
And the runway skid marks are courtesy of Shez and Ian from sunskyjet.

More to come!

The skidmarks in the runway touchdown areas are fantastic - best I've seen - any tips on hour you did that? Mine always end up looking like somebody took a huge black crayon to the runway

I love it!!! I need some ground poly help from you! :D

Thanks, Let me know!

I used Ian's skid from the Philly Scenery with his permission.

I'm considering making my own since the airport is rarely used.

I would use a light black background (just above gray) and make an alpha channel, then start making faint lines for the wheels. Its all up to you after that.

Are you also making Punta Gorda Airport? :D I saw your post in the MCX forum, and I do believe that was a ground poly of KPGD!

Yes sir, I am making it for the Allegiant operations. I'm finishing some things on it, it shouldn't be too long.
