• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

P3D v4 KJXN runway number change

I was wanting to change runway 6/24 to 7/25. When I put in the new direction 074, it was way different from the 6/24 direction. I have fsbuild and looked up the airport data from the apts.txt for kjxn. It had a coordinates for 07 42.257928 -84.471100 and a direction of 074. Then 25 had a coordinates of 42.263611 -84.452875 and a direction 254. I put position marker at each one, then set the runway to 074. However, when I put 7 at the spot, 25 was way low from its spot. The coordinates for 25 was 42.26203472 -84.451958358. I don't know exactly what the problem is. It doesn't give me a coordinates in the middle of the runway. Usually when runways change, it's small and doesn't move that much. The original 6 was 050.89, now it's 074. Any help? I attached the ad4 file. Oh I know that MSFS 2020 is only in alfa stage, but they finally put KJXN in the sim. Only just the runways, no parking nor anything else. Maybe someone could test ade with kjxn.

Heading 074 is probably the magnetic heading. ADE sets runways using the true heading, so you will need to add/subtract the magnetic variation to get the correct heading.

It probably wouldn't hurt if Jon made the caption for that box True Heading instead of just Heading. And it would be great if there was a display box of the Magnetic Heading that results from entering the True Heading value. AFCAD had that. :)
 
It was not the very same runway with a change runway number. It was moved different location new runway from the old runway was demolished a few hundred feet away apart. Don't you know that? I created FS2004 scenery JXN a few months ago in the avsim library now.
