• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Yes, I am (we, The Airport Guys, me & jonmkj) redoing KLHZ again...this time it's MUCH MUCH better though! I'm really excited for what we have in store! Here is a sneak peek, 3DSMAX render of the terminal that has been completely remodeled, as well as a complete custom texture made! :D

Still a few more things to do to it, so I'll keep updating!

Thanks! It's about 1800, but I can afford to pack it in because this is a very small airport ;)

My first airport

Small airports have an advantage when it comes to quality.

You can use quality grass everywhere too.

Here is my first airport that i have on hold right now.
Trying to find the right program that will allow me commercial rights to make road ways, rivers and other stuff like flatten.
So I still am learning when it comes to full airports.....
This is Toncontin and is fully sloped including the parking area.
maybe this summer i will work on it some more.

Man, how did you make the textures? Awesome!

Thanks!

I used CG-Textures for the brick and also the roofing. I also added a little 'dirt' for the roof

For the windows:
In photoshop, I made two layers of the same size, both with a dark gray fill. For the 'higher' layer, I give it a fill of 0% and then edit the Blending Properties. I give it a drop shadow, stroke of gray, and bevel/emboss "down". Then, I take a reference photo of the window and copy the reflection and place it between the two layers, then make it 50% opaque! And tada! :D

Thanks for the great comment. I feel better about that project.
I really like how you added the rain gutters....your windows are perfect!

Skydiving hangar. The door on the right is basically used as a large prep room for the Triangle Skydiving Center. The actual plane they use is based at 00NC, about 5 miles away, so the plane itself never goes in the hangar.

Nice!

@Hughes-MDflyer4:
You can. There's a plugin called Gmax Render Suite. Check it out.
