I am working on the KVPS airport and while using the airport background flatten mask class map exclude autogen I get what looks like a second background. See attached. The borders of my background are correct but I get patches of grass and yellow areas. Not sure what I am missing. Thanks!

Hello:

Some of you that you were not aware of how do it. You don't need to show your ultralight in entire screenshot. All you do is simple. Open FS2004 run and open airport. Press "Y" slew on it. Press "W" twice to instrument completed blank off. Press Q or A up and down. keypad 4 and 6 left or right 8 and 2 forward or backward. That's all. You can take screenshot anywhere you want it. I know it's annoying a little block view hanging aircraft in middle of screenshot.

Stuart

By the way, you say yellow or green. It is late winter time it turns yellow grass. The background polygen airport around is not able to change color for 4 seasons to read all date. The regular autogen is automatically change 4 color seasons. Is that what you are looking for?

Hi,

This is sometimes due to the underlying landclass type. The grass color is green when there is a wet landclass below, and yellow if not. The patchy nature is due to the way FS displays two different landclasses next to each other - patches of both.

Hi NGDriver,
There is quite an easy way around this patchy look.
1st - chose 'Airport Background Flatten Exclude Autogen' to replace the default flatten
2nd - put a layer of 'Airfield1' on top (just follow the boundary of the previously designed flatten).

That' s the result for spring and summer:

And the one for the other two seasons.
