• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Landing-Takeoff Pattern

Hi, apologies if this was addressed before!
Have enhanced the airport (SPEQ) and need the aircraft depart from Runway 24 (away from the mountain) and arrive to runway 6 (towards the mountain).
I have correctly selected the Patterns in ADE (Primary RW6 Take-off NO and Secondary RW24 Landing NO). Also, the ADE Fault Finder correctly suggested to delete RW24 Starting Point).
The take-offs from RW24 work OK
BUT AI and ATC direct me for the landing to the same RW24, not RW6, which was selected in ADE for Landing.
Perhaps there is another setting, which would correct this.
Any help appreciated.
Many Thanks
Peter

Hi Peter

AFAIK you cannot do what you are asking here as the sim will only allow 1 end of a rwy to be the active rwy. This is of course weather dependent also. Thus your 06 will be active for take offs and landings or the same will apply to your 24. I have faced this issue a few times myself but have been lucky that my airports have had more than one rwy so I have manipulated the rwys's to allow directional issues like this to be fixed. Unfortunately the sim does not honor single end opening/closure on one rwy as you have requested in your rwy properties dialog.

You could try adding your own approach that allows the AI to safely land on 24, if that's an option.

Good Luck!

Andrew

Thanks Andrew. All clear now. Maybe I can add a "ghost" runway or airport. I did this once before in Lukla. Arrived in one and departed from the ghost one. Off course the same airport with different designations.
cheers
Peter
