• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

MSFS24 last sdk 1.8.1 : absolute path warnings

Hi there,
I have those build errors since I updated the sdk to 1.8.1 :
[Package Validation] 'meijefsei-xxxxx' - Validate GLTF Files: Found absolute path in image or buffer uri, this, could be an issue
This is not very verbose ... There are no absolute path in all my tree from the root of the sources folder, the one that contains :
d----- 24/07/2026 10:46 PackageDefinitions
d----- 16/10/2026 12:02 Packages
d----- 16/10/2026 12:02 PackagesMetadata
d----- 24/07/2026 13:53 PackageSources
d----- 30/07/2026 11:47 _PackageInt
-a---- 16/10/2026 12:01 392 xxxxxx.xml
-a---- 16/10/2026 12:04 295 xxxxxx.xml.user
and the following search return nothing except in the "_PackageInt" which I guess is normal ...
Get-ChildItem -Recurse -Include *.xml,*.json,*.gltf | Select-String -Pattern "C:"
I tried with other sceneries that builded without warnings with the last SDK and now, with the new one, there are those warnings.
My workflow is blender-> MSFS gltf extension for MSFS2024 -> MSFS2024 dev mode. Still, the build is working and playable but I would like to clean this ...
In blender my texture path is relative : "..\texture". Lods path are relative too ...
I do not know where to look ... Or is there a way to activate more verbose debug logs ?
Thanks a lot if you have any idea ... ? :)
