• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Latest Google Server

This is what I get:

You probably get there because you own the folder.

Never have been able to get the Google.dll plug in to work. I've tried many zoom levels. I might get one tile bottom left or mid right in screen. Also- n o instructions oln how or where to installl the dll. I assumed it installs with the others I found in SbuilderX. Bob

Hi George.

Link is fine logging in with my wife's ID. It is also fine on a computer at work. Something is hijacking your link and redirecting it.

Hi Dick,

The problem is IE8, I successfully downloaded with Firefox.

Thanks for the update.

hello?
I downloaded it. at least I think I did. Unzipped and got the dll. some other items were there too. I don't know what to do with those. Bob

The only file you need is the .dll. That goes into your SbuilderX212/Tiles folder. Just overwrite the old dll. The other files involve the code for the dll which you do not need.
Hope this helps.

L I B !!! M R DUCKS!!! It worked. Thanx Mousey. I have no idea why it worked this time, but it did.

Now off to get into more trouble.

BTW- Just for giggles I have been trying to make a photoreal from disk.

From background all works well.

This is what I am doing:

1. I take an image from Google or somewhere, change to a bmp.
2. I put that bmp into tools\work
3. In SbuilderX i add map from disk (my bmp shows up in work folder)
4. I choose it... filename shows
5. right click edge of map a. change name to photo01 and also calibrate
6. take bmp to PSP and do my blend & save as filename_B.tif
7. All's well so far bmp and tif are in work folder
8. back in SbuilderX make sure all maps are selected (there's only one)
9. compile
10. In work folder rename the bgl and then drag and drop to active scenery
11. Open FSX and go to scenery- NO PHOTOREAL! :rotfl:

BTW- took my bgl to TMF Viewer and it looks good.

what am I missing? a. all above is wrong, b. I held my tongue wrong, c. missing a step or two, d. not enough beer Bob

You've said that the scenery is active. But just to be sure, deactivate and reactivate it. But first, are you positive that your coordinates for calibration are correct? Its happened to me a few times that a misplaced negative sign placed my scenery in another hemisphere. :o

It is active. i get photo using main method- add map from background. Loaded this one (in question) into tmf viewer and it shows fine. curiouser and curiouser. Bob
