• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Leesburg Executive Airport Upgrade Request

Hello everyone. I am new to the forum but have a rather quick and simple request for the folks on here since I'm not very good with doing scenery modifications myself yet. No need for fancy scenery or the addition of buildings or anything, but I've noticed that the airport I fly out of most often on FSX is lacking the ILS approach it has in real life. The airport is Leesburg Executive (KJYO) outside of Washington, DC and if someone could help me with this, it would be really a major benefit to my FS experience.

The only thing I have to offer in return is my thanks and the scenery files I made to update Hulman Field (Terre Haute, IN/KHUF) and Putnam County Airport (Greencastle, IN; 4I7) which are the only two upgrades I have managed to accomplish thus far for myself.

that is why i got involved on developing sceneries, always something to fix, and sometimes could be funny even, dont't worry about this is very easy,if you could get the real frecuency of the Ils would be better, can't you?, though it's not important.I'm yet a beginner but sure someone with more knowledge will help you. is very easy just add an Ils with Ade.

Edit: Hi my friend, this airport have one already¡, Ils (IJYO) frecuency 111.750 Mhz, to land on runway 17 could be this is not working, sometimes happen.
Reedit: All right, this one is Ils but is only Loc/Dme not have glide slope, if you want the landing totally automatized, edit the localizer and enable "glide slope", but could be that "only localizer" be the real thing,

I've never messed around with the instrument approaches before, so I'm not sure how to do it. It's now a full ILS approach, according to one of my friends who flies in and out of there frequently in real life it's been that way for "several years now". Here's the approach plate if anyone is interested: http://204.108.4.16/d-tpp/1105/05288IL17.PDF

By the way, I am not actually looking for an autoland sort of thing. I always fly approaches by hand since to me at least, that's the interesting part of flying and if you're letting the autopilot have all the fun, what's the point? :D. Usually by 10,000 and definitely by 5,000, the autopilot is off when I am flying.

well. not me, as soon as I know the airport have ils, I turn on autopilot, "too much laaazy". have you Ade?, if yes , open the stock aiport and edit the Ils, and enable glidesope, that's all, just one click, any way I'll attach that Ade file, and put them in any scenery folder, preferably one wich have any kind of relation, as vecinitiy, or something you could remember where he is afterward.
What the airport is which is next to this?, look cool. greetings
