lights in custom runway

Hi:

I have done one runway in Gmax (I know, this is a bad option but only I´m trying) and I want add lights(it is for fs2004 only)... How can I do this?.

I have done some test with efects lights but makeMDL give me error .... :banghead:

Is there any tutorial or guide to do this?. (Yes, I have read the users guide of microsoft SDK)

Sorry for my english.

Thanks

I would suggest to make runway and approach lights in AFCAD if they are suitable.
Problem of custom lights that there is no way to check limited visibility in scenery. So in day time and foggy weather it will be difficult to find runway at all. You can make light enabled 24 hours a day but it is not real too.

In some SDK there is example how to attach smoke effect to house. You can attach fx_navwhi or fx_navwhihi for white light or copy them, rename and customise as you want.

Also remember of you will use just one effect parameter with =0 (DAY=0 for example) it will couse that your effect will not appear at all. You should combine it with some =1 as well.

The error is:

Microsoft visual C++ Runtime library

Assertion failed!

Said me if I push retry this will be enable, but when I push close makeMDL.

Anyway, I have to find other way to aply lights to my runway, any sugestion please?.

Thanks for the replys.

(my english is bad, I know, sorry)

Are you trying to export only attached objects? In that case you often get such an error. Try to put them in the same scene as your visual runway.

Yes arno, I have tryed the two ways.

Today is good but yesteraday give me the error in two cases (only objet atached and runway with objets atached).

I think that I have to found other mode of do this, because the problem with the efects lights do lost reality at the scenery.

Thanks for all.
