• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Loading AFCAD into FSSC

Hi!

That's my first time to announce my problem!

I've created my first airport with AFCAD.

Now, here's my problem. I want to create buildings, towers... on that same airport.
I also have FSSC, Groundmaker.How I transmit my file from FS to FSSC?

Hi Divac,

FSSC can not read the information from AFCAD directly. You could try to make screenshot in FS and use that as a background image in FSSC.

Please, explain me what's your sugestion, what should I do if I created my airport in AFCAD and I want to add some structures.:eek:
You mentioned screenshot in AFCAD and I need to transmit into FSSC? How should I do that?
Does it mean that what I created in AFCAD was in vain?

Maybe I'm a little annoying but I want to know what's ma options?:scratchch

Hi Divac

Take a screenshot in afcad and use that picture as a background in FSSC so that you can position your buildings etc in the correct position. Your buildings and other airport structures will be in a separate bgl file, but that is usual. You have the buildings in one file and the airport facilities (afcad) in another.

Because the old pre-Fs2004 techniques used by FSSC can not be mixed with the new Fs2004 XML techniques used by AFCAD. Any scenery created with tools like FSSC or Airport for Windows, will always cover your AFCAD scenery. Nothing we can do about it (except trying to use the new techniques as much as possible).
