• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

I wanted to download a older MCX version. I now have version 5-7-2020. I signed in; but I was locked out of the Archive Folder. How can I get a older version?

Hi,

No, older version of MCX are not offered for download. The only versions offered are the latest development release and the latest stable release. But for MCX the stable release is that old that I don't recommend using it.

Why do you want to get an older version?

I am positive I am doing something wrong here. After downloading MCX v14.0.0.00 5/11/2020; I started having issue's with the Transform Object > Move Object as viewed in the pictures.
The previous version worked perfect as in WYSIWYG. That was why I was trying to get the last version back. While on the subject: Why is there a check mark in the Ignore Z box? If I want to go
up or down, I have to uncheck the box on every adjustment. Am I doing something wrong here also? Many thanks

Hi,

The ignore check box is only used when you press the center button, not for manual movements.

Are the screenshots static scenery models or flyable aircraft?

Hi,

If they are AI or flyable aircraft, the settings in the aircraft.cfg file can also play a role for the height at which the model is rendered. That's why I asked. Because to me it looks like part of the model is rendered below the ground, or do I see that incorrect from the screenshot?

Yes, are you sure that the Contact Points in the aircraft.cfg file have not been changed?

Yes Sir, I can assure you (from previous goof-ups I made!!) the aircraft.cfg has not been changed.
