• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hi all,

The FSDeveloper website is being run by the developer community itself, that means we rely on the help of community members to keep everything running fine. Recently we have seen that some of the members that have been doing a lot of moderation and administration tasks over the last years have less time available. So we are looking for some "fresh blood" in the moderation team to help keep the forum running smoothly. What kind of tasks does the moderation work include?
  1. Moderate the new member registrations, so that we can reduce the amount of spammers that register to a minimum.
  2. In general the members on the forum behave very well, but sometimes we have discussions that heat up to much or posts being made that are spam. In those cases a moderator has to take action to remove inappropriate posts, warn members or in worst case ban members.
  3. Keep an eye on the wiki modifications to ensure no spam is posted there.
Of course these tasks are not performed in isolation, the moderators often discuss how to handle a certain situation and make the hard decision together. And it is also possible that a moderator does only 1 or 2 of the tasks listed above if that has your preference.

If you are interested in joining the moderation team or want to know more about what it involves, contact @arno or @rhumbaflappy.

I would love to help you out Arno as this site/forum has helped me out so much as a FSX developer over the years but unfortunately all my time is currently being taken up as an Admin at another forum. :(

Hi all,

We got some response to this request already, but ideally we would like to add at least 2 new moderators. So if you are interested please let us know.

Thanks, yes we did. Dick included me in that PM as well now.
