• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

Losing autogen trees. Win7 64bit.

Hi , I'm working with GP and will try to make parking places with GP.

In the middle of this work I happend to look at the airport from above and saw
that there is a area behind the airport without autogen trees.
After some restarts I got the trees back but now they are missing at an other spot. (pic.1.2.3.)

I have done a few hours reading but don't find any solution so I have to bother you again and asking for help.

I am even trying to plant some conifer forest with land class (in ADEX) but I get something very far from conifier. Conifer forest works fine in my other scenerys.

I think that I have solved the problem. The trees are back. (my fault)

One problem remains, I can not add conifer wood .

Hi , as I wrote in the previous thread I have found the cause when big parts of
the forest lose there trees. When I remove "ADEX_ADE_GP.bgl " all trees are in place. What have I done wrong ?

Is there a way to find out where or wich GP.causing this problem.

Hi Floda & All !

Same problem here, with ADE Ground Polys : parts of autogen trees for my photo scenery randomly disapear.
I didn't find any option in ADE to keep autogen as MDLCX does with gmax ground poly.

Any tweak or help ?

ADE-GP does add a statement at the end of the .asm file that is supposed to eliminate GP effects on Autogen. Perhaps this statement needs to be layer specific.

I have just sent Version 0.0.83 to Jon for inclusion in the next beta update. It places a copy of the "don't suppress Autogen" command discussed in several other fsDeveloper threads at the end of each layer, rather than just a single entry at the end of the file.

Hopefully, that will take care of the situation.

My 2 cents :
I made a try ... suppress GP near the boundaries of scene, keep central GPs with cross_hatch_white texture.
Trees are there. OK

FS8 excludes area is a bit more extended than FSX's ones. So we must be carefull with it.

Got same annoyances with 0.87 as George. Wait for the next update.

It was worth a try.

I'll "explore the literature" on missing autogen and Gps further to see if there's anything more that can be done. In my own airports, that command solved a similar problem (with Gmax-generated GPs).

Floda, would you please send me your AD3 file. The fix I have applied seems to work at one of my airports, so I want to be sure I'm chasing the right problem. I would like to see what autogen is being suppressed and how you have laid out your ground polys. As well, I need to assess whether or not the fix has any effect at your airport.
