• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Lost TOOLS Menu

My thanks to you both. I suspected that a new SDK update would necessary.

And I am just as puzzled as to why it works for some and not others.

Oh, well. No worries for now but it will be an issue in a few weeks I fear.:eek:

Paul, apparently I have not. I was not aware there was an SDK subfolder on the Acceleration DVD.

Prior to this I did everything correctly and am familiar with all of the instructions there.

When I get home I will investigate that subfolder!

I apologize for not catching this the first time you replied. That vodka didn't seem so strong last night but it sure was making it difficult for me this morning.:o

Thanks again for your help. I had no idea those resources were on that disk.

Still stuck with NO tools in my fsx menu!

i have done all of this as correct as it can be per my knowledge1 My tools won't show up. i posted my dll.xml file and i will post it here again,Could someone check it over and get back to me/ any help would be much appreciated!:D

The traffic tool box is not showing ,based on my previous dll I think i got it edited/ is the something I'm missing to make THAT tool show?object placer is the only one showing.
 
no TOOLS

I have installed FSX and SP2.
Also the SDK and SDK2.
But still no TOOLS, but all third parties are there.
FSX shows version 10.0.61355 which is i believe SP1.
What should i see as version of FSX when SP2 is installed the right way?

BTW this happens after a new installation; before there were no problems at all!

HELP! HELP! Just installed FSX Gold Edition. It includes FSX Deluxe and Acceleration Expansion Pack. SP 1A installed. Cannot seem to get "TOOLS" pulldown menu to appear in FSX Free Flight.

FSX.EXE shows 10.0.61637.0 (FSX-Xpack.20070926-1421)

I am not a Technical person so some of the research papers I've tried reading are difficult to understand.

I would be eternally grateful for any assistance that would be rendered.

Hi,

Is the SP1A SDK the SDK version you installed last? After installing the Acceleration Pack you need to install the SDK update that comes with it (sdk.msi on the DVD). Your FS and SDK versions need to match, else it does not work.

Installed SDK.MSI. Now it seems to be okay. I think? You tell me. See attached.

Actually they did . The over view documents included in the main SDK folder.:p

I have printed out the whole over view Documents and 2 sets of ink cartridges later i got a nice book I had bound. :eek:
All the pages i had laminated too ! i got a great hole puncher!!!
