MCX dev release 1.5 not loading textures

Hey there guys,

Just updated to the newest dev update for mcx, and my aircraft texures are not loading. Just get that special checker texture. Im using P3d V4.5. Paths in the options page are correct. MCX folder is located in the main p3d folder. Not sure what to do. It will not load any textures for any mdl that I import into it, default included.

Hi,

Can you try to reset the texture search path to default? The first entry of the P3D path is normally not there (and should not be needed either).

It still doesn't work. Inhad it like that upon initial setup, and it still doesn't work. The only way inhave gotten it to load any textures is to enter a path to that particular texture directly.

That's weird. Are you loading a model that has the normal simobject structure? Maybe you can show the entire log?

Can you show the entire event log? Maybe that shows some clue.

All of the default models should just show their textures with the default texture search path.

In the event log there is a button to save the entire log to a TXT file. That's the easiest way to get it all.

The log looks OK. Are all the textures that are reported present in the texture folder of the model? Or are they in specific livery folders?

You are loading a CRJ in the log and then the textures are in a 737 folder? That doesn't sound logical.

Does it make a difference which livery you select in the livery box?

I was just using the layout as an example, each aircraft that I have installed have multiple airline textures.

So in the CRJ9 folder there will be other textures as well.

And does it make a difference which livery you select in the combobox?

To state again, no it does not matter what texture I load, or what model I load, no textures are displayed for any aircraft that I have in my simobjects folder.

I really don't get it. I just double checked and I have no issue with default models.

I really suspect there is an issue with the texture search path. If you click on the edit button in the settings, does it look like this?

I will send a screenshot when I get home, but they are set as how they come when you install the program, default.

Hi,

Could you try again with the latest development release? I have added a debug option to the texture search logic now. If you enable that in the options the event log will show more information where the textures are searched. That should hopefully give an idea why they are not found.

And if you look at the first texture that is not found, a320_1_iae_t.bmp, in which folder is it actually located? Then I can maybe see why it is not found.
