• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

MCX doesnt create a .bgl when saving

that is correct. I remember that around December last year, I think, I tried to switch to the latest version. Unsuccessful, why that was...no idea. But could it possibly be due to the Windows version? Is the internal settings interfering with the function of the MCX or an update?

Just a long shot, did you put the decimal character at a dot as well? XtoMdl requires that. Although I think you would get a different error of that was wrong.

Yes that is correct. Sometimes I think that my problem is with Windows.
In December, I wanted to switch to version 1.6 and, if I remember correctly, it wasn't working at the time. The “normal” version, like the previous version, is perfect for developers.
The Decimalcharacter has been changed - the Airport Design Editor works perfectly

ADE does not use XtoMdl, since it does not export MDL files though.

In the history of the resources you can find older versions as well, if you want to try if they work:

That's right - but I'm also pretty sure that I tried to use version 1.6 last year - without success. However, the previous version, both as a normal and as a developer version, worked perfectly. There must be a mistake somewhere, I now think that this is due to Win10 somewhere, that there is a bug somewhere. I don't remember which paths were used. As I said, I would prefer to install the version that works for me and then see what has changed or what doesn't work
.

You can find version 1.5 and earlier in the history as well. But like you say I think it's more a windows issue than a mcx issue.

But we already checked the C++ runtime files and DirectX and normally that's all that's needed. So I'm running out of ideas here.

Now I'm all set and done. that the new versions dex MCX (1.6 and 1.7) don't work - OK, not good. But the old one that worked (1.5) no longer works,............ I have now saved it in c:/Programs, c:/Programs and on the desktop and also directly in the P3D folder. And I immediately get this error message that nothing can be loaded. Could it be that a file was created “wrongly” in the registry?
