• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Howdy all,

Trying to use MCX for the first time in converting an FS2004 compiled model into an FSX native model yields this result. While I got most animations working, interior rotor animations don't work despite having the rotor visibility and animation script applied. Nonetheless, it came out great so far.

Now before anyone jumps down my throat about the conversion, this is for personal use at the moment and I already sent out a permission request to release these birds to the public.

The models came from Nemeth Designs from when they started out doing freeware and since they no longer have the source files so I can do a proper FSX conversion, I have used MCX to do it and I'm quite impressed on how they actually came despite being really dated models.

Once finished, I have gauge issues (lots that don't work) and flight dynamic tweaks to apply (@antaris ), you have any gauges and soundset for this particular bird bro?

While I await a response back from Nemeth Designs, I'll continue trying to get the animations to work

All I have is from Nemeth Brothers themselves; the same helicopter you are working on.
Sorry bro :(

Since the loss of the Hovercontrol site, a lot of models have been lost.

There were a number of FS9 MD500's that had been modded to FSx, several of them by Peter Nemeth himself. Including the gauges. I don't know if any are still available out there but they may be. Try checking with Mr. Nemeth, whether by e-mail, or doing a Google search, or whatever.
They may still be out there someplace...

Pat☺

While most of the model related items are pretty much completed, I am focused in getting all gauges compliant for all platforms (FS9, FSX and P3D). Some of the gauges are older and are not compatible with newer platforms, so I am taking those gauges and transforming them into XML gauges which is universal for all intended platforms.

This helicopter has now been released, but work continues to get the animations to work in the virtual cockpit. Enjoy ;)

Nice work!

I love these models of helicopter, including the very first one with the small turbine. Awesome helo's.

The updated front perspex with the bend in it is brilliant...

Lovely things. I can watch videos of these on YouTube all day.
