• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

Would you people suggest photoshopping out parked aircraft as depicted on photoreal scenery? They are somewhat odd looking sitting there on the parking area... i was planning simply Photoshop out ones on the taxiways and runways, but they look bad on the ramp too.

If they look odd ... then there's your answer!

Something you can't notice, like cars on the nearby interstate ... can stay.

well... now... i am going through putting cars in the parking lot... but... the car silhouettes on the pavement look funny. The planes are photo shopped out, but that was a bit of work.

I always clean everything out, cars, a/c, buildings, .... everything... but thats just me... I think it looks cleaner to place the 3d models on top of clean ground... I may make some shadow, but thats it...

get to know the rubber stamp tool in photoshop... it can clean alot of unwanted things out of photo textures...

Hi,

In the scenery team I am a member of we remove everything at the airside of the airport that is annoying. That includes parked aircraft, parked vehicles, shadows of the buidlings, markings (we put them on top as polygons to be more clear), parts of buildings that have an overhang (to prevent you see a roof on the ground, where there should be concrete).

It looks much more realistic that way. Driving over such items in the photo very quickly destroys your illusion.

I don't like how people leave the ships in the ports in the photoreal sceneries, and yes of course the airplanes should be erased, about parking I think those give a little of live to the sceneries.
