Hi,
I think so, but at the moment I have no clue yet what the changes are and what I need to update. For that I will need input from users. So I also can't say how long it will take.

I doubt the SDK has all details needed to update MCX. Last time that was also the case, often examples from the SDK or made by developers with the official exporters help best to update MCX.
I don't plan to buy MSFS as soon as it comes out. But I will study the SDK. But my aim is to get a stable MCX out first before making changes for MSFS 2024.

Maybe we can try to get in contact with Asobo or MSFS via mail?I really first need to understand what the differences are in the gltf format and project xml files before I can give an ETA, else I have no idea on what I need to change.

I doubt that will help, usually we just need to figure it out as community.

On which data would chatgpt be trained if we still have to learn things? If thats the case, I highly recommend to use Chatgpt-04 its paid but its worth it A LOT.

Hello, I started making some tests for migrating the sceneries I have done for 2020 to 2024, first thing I did was to place one of my sceneries directly into the comunity folder to see how it worked with 2024, I loaded ms2024 and almost everything looked good except for some issues with water polygons, then I did a compile and loaded the airport again, the issues I saw were:
1- all my models start to dessapear in the not so far distance about 100 to 200 meters or from certain angles, if you close on them again they appear again, the funny thing is that the same models compiled with 2020 dont show this behavour, they wont dessapear no matter how far you get from them.
2- Projected mesh no longer has the surface feature, it only shows the polygon but with out a surface like asphalt or concrete, i did some reading of the SDK and they took the surface feature out of projected mesh polygons.
As of right now those were the issues I found, Hope this helps![]()

With a bit of luck that means only the xml of the models has changed and not the gltf files.Yeah thats why we need to re-export the models in MSFS2024 format specifically due to the new LOD system of MSFS.

Having sample objects for the new sim is always useful so I can see what needs to change. If you want I can export a MSFS2024 object from blender and send it here

another thing, I just loaded the models library BGL compiled with MS2024 into MCX and the models dont appear in the viewport
If only the texture format was different they would show with a checkerboard. So maybe the MDL format has also changed a bit. If a have a sample modelling.bgl I can check.I think I found something, the textures for the models compile in a diferent format
