Hi,
I made an apron light effect using the landing light as the effect and have several problems:
1-The light effect is showing all day, night, dusk and dawn.Notice that I used the cloning technique and added the (day=0; night=1) into one attached object and (dusk=1; night=1) into another and exported the file to fsx. So I don't know how that is possible?
2-When I copy the fx_landing and rename it to something like fx_apronlight, the effect does not work as a light spot anymore; Instead it becomes a point light.
3-The apron lights are flickering a lot at night.
4-FPS drop up to 10 with the effects.
Is there any other methods to add apron lights. I've also tried using the ground polys with a uv_unwrap and transparent layer. It was supposed to be transparent all day and semi transparent with the light spot on it at night. I used DXT1 for the day texture and DXT5 for the night one. It does not take into account the transparency.
