I would like to be able to add Autogen buildings to photoreal area BGLs, where I don't have any vector data, that would work somewhat like the Annotator Polygon Region option for vegetation. I would simply pick a GUID for the type of house and then draw a large rectangular area and get many houses (perhaps a variety of sizes and heights set by a Properties Dialogue Box) with that angular orientation. Most downtown neighborhoods have that appearance and trying to populate a city quickly now - one building at a time - takes a very long time. Maybe a tool like this that generates the vector data for ScenProc with an underlay of a registered Google map. Any ideas?
Actually, instead of Autogen buildings, I have seen several third party sceneries - for example, Paulo Ricardo's Rio de Janiero and FlyTampa's (old) Hong Kong airport area - have a tremendous number of well textured buildings that seem to perform better (I think) in terms of FPS than do Autogen buildings of the same density.
