• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.

MSFS20 Need Help with Adding Grass

So I'm trying to make an airport in the simulator and the default airport literally just had a picture of the ground with no actual grass. I've tried adding grass using both aprons and polygons however both cause the grass to show up on planes with synthetic vision and maps instead of just the acual runways taxiways and aprons. Is there another way to do this that I'm not thinking of? Any help would be appreciated.

I’m not quite sure anyone understands quite what you mean.
If you add grass to an airport by way of a polygon or apron you will see grass rendered when sitting at a parking spot or flying over. You must of course, have clicked FLY at the airport.
If you are expecting to see grass and other details on the “in-flight” maps and GPS screens then you get a GPS map which is exactly what your image is displaying.
Can you clarify or reword your question?
