• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

New Islamabad International - Freeware(Released)

Hi

We have just released the New Islamabad International Airport (ICAO:OPIS) freeware scenery for FSX/P3d.
The airport is scheduled to open on 14th August, 2017 and will replace the existing Benazir Bhutto International Airport (ICAO:OPRN) to serve the capital city of Pakistan.
The scenery features include

* Accurate airport layout to match the real world.
* Custom made 3D terminal building and the cargo terminal.
* Apron flood lights.
* All taxiway signs properly placed.
* Accurate taxiway and runway designators with correct ILS frequencies for the Runways.

The airport is included in the navigation database onwards from AIRAC 1707.

I have worked on the same project and uploaded on flightsim.com. I am still working on it. Future plans are to make a file for PMDG FMC, and docking Gates, custom tower buildings. Please look it as well, will be waiting your comments.

if you update your navadata of PMDG to Airac1707 , OPIS will automatically be available . it has been added in the database in the latest release.

and yes i have had a look on it , you have been doing a great job on it . Good luck !
 
I think its CHARTS are not released yet, couldn't find though. Moreover FMC file has been created with imaginery data. Safe Docks added, v graph - added. Taxi Signs - under process, Terminal Building Improvement - pending, Custom Tower - pending. Umm can i just update the building in Sketchup and convert into BGL and simply replace the .bgl file or i have to add it again in ADE through complete whole process.
 
Ok found one, now will convert mine according to yours . Rest i will keep mine so that mine is also compatible with AIRAC 1707. Thanks for your guidance

Is AIRAC compatible
Has Custom Terminal Building
Has accurate Taxi Signs
Has its SIDS/ STARS in default map
Has V Shrubs and V grass
Dockable safegates added
Lights from your airport ;)
Its just because of your good advice regarding especially the AIRAC thing.

Hi Great work Irteza , sorry for late response i was busy last days , you've been doing good work i am looking forward to it .
Yes the charts are available on PAkistan CAA website in AIP section For instance here http://www.caapakistan.com.pk/AIS/AisView.aspx

As far as it is of lights , those lights are not originally create by me , lights credits goes to Jim Dhaenens . he is the right person to be credited . those lights might not be allowed to be used in commercial projects ,

I just saw your OPMT on this Site, You gave me new inspiration, Now i have to make my own (Free)
 
In The Next Update For This Scenery You Should Include Jetways, Windsocks, PAPI, Runway Lighting From SODE Including Prepar3D Compability.
 
The things you have mentioned are well beyond the scope of a freeware, they will eventually be included but it'll be a separate scenery.
