• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum

Hi Dave,

nice mission. :)

I like the idea with the other "passengers" :D and mots of all the music. It really gives the mission something special. I guess we'll see more of those missions in the future, maybe with some nice free (and I mean really free!) music that can be found at several places on the internet.

But I actually hoped that it would be me who does the search for the treasure. In the end I was really wondering if there was a treasure involved in the mission.

I got the idea for the mission when I was at the theater watching some previews before the movie. I was thinking of an action adventure, cliff hanger theme. If people like it... I have set up a sequel :)

Thanks for the comments!

One thing:
The mission does not load correctly because you set a wrong path to the flightplan. You have to delete the ".PLN" in the FLT-file. ;)

Thanks, others have mentioned that. I am not quite sure why I don't see this when I run the mission. I took out the path, and just the flight plan name, but it shouldn't have the .PLN

Updated: LostT11.zip

I have just uploaded an updated mission called LostT11.zip. I corrected the Flight Plan, so there should be no errors when loading. The strange part is some people are not seeing some of the triggers firing. I am not sure if everyone is not seeing this, but there should be a lot of action at the "Treasure" waypoint. There are 3 different camera shots, A moble scenery person running from the plane, then back, and a vehicle that comes up the road. In addition several dialog actions through the sequence.

I did find a few problems in the flight plan. When I first set up the mission, I made a flight plan, but then moved to another airport. So I edited the file name under [GPS Engine]. I did find references to the wrong airport (HEEM) under [ATC_Aircraft.0] and [ATC_ActiveFlightPlan.0]. I set up a new free flight, at HECW, and created a new flight plan from HECW to HEBF. I then edited this file again, and replaced it. I am not sure if this caused other problems or not.

It's hard to trouble shoot when I don't see the problem :)

There is indeed some trouble with editing a flightplan. Best is to delete the old flightplan (and save the flt), then load the blanc FLT and setup the new flightplan. Much easier than trying to persuade FSX that you changed the destination. :D
