• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

Hello!

I've used ADE with FS9, FSX and P3D. It has been a outstanding program for my scenery projects.

Just downloaded and installed ADE Alpha 20 I hope that's what I need for editing FS2020 airports. I want to open a stock airport to add a fence around the airport.

Please how do I open a stock airport in 2020's ADE?

You will need to go to the settings menu and choose the options sub menu. The open the folders tabs and make sure the correct folders are set. Click on the find folders button to let ADE find the correct folders.
 
I've had this problem as well. Jon isn't actively updating ADE, so there might not be an easy solution. I generated the airport with Airport2Project, and I'm attaching the XML, which you can 'Create Project from XML', in ADE.

MSFS20 - Base File not Found

So I installed Alpha 21 along with Hot fixes 4 and 5. I followed the directions in the post regarding HF5 updating the folders to point to the correct locations. But I can't load any airports. I can't even use the Airport Lookup (in the tools menu). I've changed my content folders to be not...

Hi Kenny.
If you can fiind your F20 folder there are things to check. First, there are 2 files: baseAirportList.dat and a baselockpack.dat What are their sizes? Also, Can you attach or post your Setting.ini file from that folder?
What has happened is Asobo has changed the path to the locpac:

It has moved from fs-base to fs-base-genericairports. Just edit the Settings.ini and restart AD. Then in ADE under the tools menu, Update Stock Indexes. and Scan in that popup window. You might have to restart again.
