• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hello everyone. I've been busy with work, so I wasn't able to continue working on our EDDV scenery for a longer period. But now I get some more free time to work on the project but also to finish my "little" side-project I want to present to you today. It is New Zealand Photoreal for P3D. I always wanted a good looking Photoscenery for New Zealand WITH Autogen, but there was nothing good looking available, so I decided to do it myself. It took me nearly a year to get to this stage and we are very close to a V1.0 Release. Some previews can be seen below. There are some more to come and if you want some specific previews, just tell me, and you can see even more previews on our Crossfeed Discord server.
What you can expect from the scenery:
- Full coverage of New Zealand with High Quality Photoimagery (4m/Pixel)
- Known and interesting places and cities up to 25cm/Pixel resolution
- Coverage with Autogen on the whole scenery (>50%)
- Compatibility with Addon sceneries like FlightBeam Auckland
- Compatible with Black Marble
I hope you will enjoy it as much as I do and there are some future plans to make it even better. For example more Autogen coverage. Release should be within the next 1-2 weeks.
All the best and always happy landings!

Isn't this the only way to get what you really want and how you want it? Keep pushing your scenery_building envelope of yours, since this project looks awesome ! Keep those WIP shots coming StarGames .

I totally agree. You never get what you want 100% but there are some very good photosceneries out there e.g. from Matthias. The sceneries are incredible and I can really recommend them. Sadly he has no NZ scenery, but I can tell you a little secret: He is helping me with this one ;) Further information will come later.

Some new previews of the upcoming New Zealand photoreal scenery. I can already tell you that new Autogen is in the making but will maybe not make it into the V1.0. Only thing missing for release is a little more testing and than we are good to go! I think next week sounds good for a release ;) You can see even more previews on our Crossfeed Discord server.

If you want to see the scenery in action, check out this two streams. It's still a beta version but very close to the release version and the streams are in german most of the time.

The last previews until the release TOMORROW! I forgot to mention, that all previews before were done with Enhanced Atmospherics off. These ones are with it on to give you an example what it looks like. I can't tell you exactly when the scenery will be released tomorrow, but expect it in the afternoon. The scenery can than be downloaded from our Crossfeed Discord server.

Hello everyone. I'm happy to announce our first freeware product release for P3D. New Zealand Photoreal is ready to go and you can download it from our Crossfeed Discord server. Please be sure to read the Readme first before installing the scenery! There is a second one in the zip file, but this one is an older one. I had to do some late changes to it. If you have an question, please let us know and if you want to report any bugs or problems, please use the ticket system in the discord. This release is also a test for the ticket system, if everything is working as it should. An Autogen update with more coverage is already in the making and will also be released soon! Now enjoy the weekend and this new scenery and as always happy landings!

Technically, FS2Kx photo-real imagery is a custom form of land class, so all here may have some valid points of interpretation. :pushpin:

It is best IMHO, to be polite and courteous with one another, and to thank freeware authors for their very generous contributions. :)

We should not need to have forum guidelines for behavior, but there are some which do apply here ...subject to administrative discretion. ;)

I cleaned up the off-topic posts in this thread. A member has been banned for excessive arguing and trolling. The best course when you are offended by posts is to NOT confront the other member, but to report the issue for moderation. The reporting is much appreciated. But responding to a troll and his arguments is not appreciated. I spent 15 minutes of my life deleting posts. Just report and refrain from posting. Why feed the troll?
