• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hi all
I'm trying to redo an airfield in fs9. i used afcad to add taxiways etc and wanted to use fssc or airport to get rid of the autogen over my new apron except when i do this everything disappears. How do i get around this?
Thanks!

I think an easier way to solve this problem is to add a VTP grass polygon below your airport. This should automatically remove the autogen as well.

When you make an exclude it will not only remove your autogen, but also the airport you made in AFCAD. Maybe you could get the excludes working of you only use small excludes (and do not cover the reference point of AFCAD).

What is a VTP grass polygon?
I tried making small exclude area's but auto gen still showed up on the apron.
Sorry for all the basic questions but im getting hooked on this!

Hi!
What kind of autogen are You getting? Trees, houses or airport buildings, taxiway signs etc? In any case, you can erase autogen by drawing new airport skirting (grass or else) using Ground2k or SBuilder, the other way is by using exclude option in FSSC/Airport for Windows.
In latter option, I recommend placing exclude at the reference point of the airport which needn't be so large, 250x250m is usually enough and will erase all taxiway markings around the airport in FS2004. Other buildings can be erased using smaller excludes positioned at the center of the buildings. In FS2004 You can use FS2004 style excludes in XML language (look in Microsoft BGLCOmp SDK, link is in Tools section); there is a little program available in Avsim's file library (look in scenery design, XML exclude).
I hope it helps!

Best regards,

Hi
I got rid of the auto gen using excbuilderv2 and it worked fine.
Then i needed to reinstall fs (cauz i messed up my ai traiifc and to clear all the rubbish i had in there) and now when i try to use excbuilderv2 i get a error saying that the file MSSTDFMT.DLL is missing. Does anyone know where to get this or how i might of had it in the 1st place?
Thanks!
