• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

Hi

Well, im new to this stuff.
recently I faced an issue with AFLT. I placed the lights and setup everything, but when I fire up the sim the objects are in place as it should be BUT there is no illumination
I couldn't understand why! . what im trying to do is to make the illumination as usual (ON on evening-night / OFF on day time)
would you kindly guys help me with this?

here is screenshots of what i have done.

First of all, you don't need PCL to make this work.

Second, without your Project Folder and the airport .bgl, there's little help I can offer. It would also be helpful if you zipped up your Documents/Prepar3d v4 Addons\AFLT for P3D folder and sent it to me.

I trust you have allowed AFLT to place the AFLT-generated files and are not attempting to place them manually.

Apparently, you hadn't saved your ADE airport to an active scenery folder. Stock HLZW has no lights whatsoever. So, forgetting about AFLT lights for the moment, if you attempt to display HLZW at night you get a completely black screen - no moon, no starts, nothing but blackness. However if you save your ADE-generated airport (which has the runway lights you added, you will see those lights). You will also see AFLT's lights.

It's fortuitous you posted this issue today. I plan to make another release tomorrow. But, currently, AFLT assumes at least runway lights. Since none were in the stock file (or the ADE-generated bgl until I later added them), AFLT crashed. It won't tomorrow.
