• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Non-Existent Taxiways

I am using version 4.3.07 and my the latest version of ADEX for P3dv4.5.

When I pull up my project with AFLT I am getting non-existent taxiways that start in the middle of the runway and end at the entrance taxiway at the end of the runway. These non-existent taxiways include the blue taxiway lights. I am not showing any bad links when using fault finder with ADEX. The problem appears with using the xml or bgl version of my project.

I didn't post any files since I wasn't sure what you might need. I can provide a screen shot or the xml/bgl if that will help.

Bill, I don't see an phantom taxiway. However, the two most-northerly taxiways are not draw correctly by AFLT - which I'll investigate

In the meantime, perhaps you could provide a screenshot of the AFLT presentation of the "non-existent taxiway

Do you get the same result if you load the .bgl rather than the .xml?

Don't bother with the screenshot, Bill. My initial test was done with the current development release. However, upon reverting to the general release, I see your phantom taxiways. That's good news in one respect because it means whatever was causing those phantom taxiways no longer exists.

However, there is a second problem. That is, if you load from .xml and suppress the display of runways, the runway links take on an unusual configuration - which is responsible for the question I asked above. This happens with both releases.

I had planned to re-release this weekend, having fixed several reported issues and implementing a major enhancement. But, now, before I do, I must find the cause of the issue with .xml.

I will re-release ASAP. In the meantime, you should work from the .bgl.

Cause of the erroneous taxiway display found and fixed. I still expect to re-release tomorrow.
