Arno,
Hope it is okay to ask a follow-up question on this: P3Dv4 comes with two add-ons.cfg files. One is located in %APPDATA%\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4 and one in %PROGRAMDATA%\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4.
As far as I understand the SDK, the preferred way to add a scenery is to add them to %PROGRAMDATA, which will not trigger any notification. The auto discovery path (i.e., any add-on.xml placed in %USERPROFILE%\Documents\Prepar3d v4 Files\add-ons) uses the add-ons.cfg in %APPDATA%\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4 and triggers a notification at sim start-up.
Today I noticed that ACM on my PC is only reading the add-ons.cfg in %PROGRAMDATA. The cfg in %APPDATA (and hence all add-on.xml placed in %USERPROFILE%\Documents\Prepar3d v4 Files\) are not recognized and skipped.
Is this expected behavior or should ACM also read the cfg in %APPDATA?
Somehow I have a feeling that I might have some wrong/missing line in one of the add-ons.cfg-files as ACM worked in the past also with add-on.xml found in my Documents folder. But I can not find anything about this in the ACM manual.
Thanks,
Christoph
