• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

Objects not showing up in scenery

I upgraded an airport and created all kinds of custom objects for it such as hangers, office buildings, cell tower, taxiway lights, fences, etc. I can see the objects fine on my P3D development computer and on my P3D flight sim computer. I sent the .bgl files and textures to a person running FSX but he can't see any of the custom objects. They just don't show up at all. I am using SketchUp to create the objects and then MCX to export them as .FSX mdl files. I have a friend that runs FSX and I sent them to him to test but he hasn't had time to yet. Am I doing something wrong that would cause this?

Did you put the objects into a library BGL file? Did you send that BGL file as well? Are you sure you sent the placement BGL file as well? Are you sure you sent the FS compatible textures? Are you sure he placed those textures into the adjoining texture folder?

The guy that tested it is a developer for a scenery company although he is a low level one so I am assuming he is placing them in the correct place. I sent him all the .bgl files and texture files. I did put the individual object .bgl files in to a library file. The files that i sent him are the exact ones that I transfer from my development computer to my flight sim computer when I make any changes to the scenery. It works fine on my flight sim computer.

Actually I was able to install FSX on my development machine along with P3D and I can't see any objects either. I see some of my upgrades such as new taxiway textures, etc. but no objects.

I have the scenery complexity in FSX set as high as it will go. If I launch P3D I see the objects fine, FSX nothing.
