• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Scenery objects and taxi signs now display whether they are stock - that is are placements of objects based on stock files - or not.
super, what has long been needed, thanks!
the only question, can add the ability to manually change the stock attribute or not?
eg I want to change the stock to false for some stock objects so that no micro exclude is created for this object :stirthepo
an even better option: if I manually delete objects that do not need to be excluded(I need these stock objects to be displayed in the sim) before compilation, then let ADE not generate micro exceptions after compilation

That does not achieve anything. The stock flag is a 'read only' indicator that the object placement that it refers to comes from a stock file. You can do what you like with the flag but you cannot change its status and even if you did it does not change anything. Its the same as deciding to call a red car blue - you can call it what you like but it is still red. Changing the stock flag defeates the whole point of displaying it - that is you know which object placements are enshrined (fixed) in the stock files

I am not sure I understand this but it seems like a double negative. There are two states for stock object placements. They either appear in ADE and in the sim or they don't. If you want them to display in the sim then leave them alone in ADE. If you don't want them to appear in the sim then just delete them in ADE. Thus at all times the sim should display what you see in ADE. If you were to delete the stock object placement in ADE and then remove the micro exclude all you have managed to do is have something appear in the sim which is not shown in ADE and that sets up all sorts of chances and errors. One is that the object gets placed twice at the same location in sim. So for the avoidance of doubt let ADE do its job. If you want a stock object placement to appear in the sim then leave it alone in ADE. If you don't want it to appear in the sim then delete it in ADE.

in both cases you misunderstood me ;)
an example what I meant:
- we created a scenary and then clicked click load stock objects -
-15 stock objects were loaded
-we only need to create micro exclude for 10 of them, the remaining 5 retail stock should be displayed
if I manually delete 10 out of 5 objects before compilation, then micro exclude will be created for all 15 objects after compilation anyway...
How to avoid this?

There is absolutely no need to be rude to another member. I am closing this thread. I think we are done in any case. We are going in circles. To do what you appear to want to do
  1. Load the stock placement items
  2. Select and delete the 10 you don't want
Done
