• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Palmerston North, New Zealand!

Nice mate, can't wait. Just remember to strike a balence between drawcalls (number of materials), and performance. :)

Cheers mate! I am keeping that in mind. I am SO FAR please with performance, but we will see. I'll have some new previews up in a few minutes of the other side of the terminal (not airside but car park side)

Hi everyone!

Few more previews of the other side of the terminal (the car park side) Hope you like them! Tried to add a few dirt and scratch marks.

Hey Everyone! Just a quick preview to show you that we've got some things going! You'll notice a few differences.

1) New photoreal scenery! We changed to Linz 60cm/pixel imagery which provides very high quality, accurate imagery.
2) Annotation of the city has begun. The closer part to the airport is well underway, and will extend all the way out to the coverage area.
3) Ground Poly is in the simulator! The ground poly is about 50% done, gave it a quick test run in the sim, and it's looking good!

Now, it's been about 19 hours work in the last 24 hours, and I need sleep! I'l see you with more progress soon!

Spent the last few hours working on signage around the main terminal. All of signs are custom made. (Yes this is in the sim ;) )

After a week, the hardest part of the Ground Poly is complete. Still need to do the remaining stands, but that should be breezy.

- Also, any thoughts on "warn out" taxi way line?

Cheers

I've been getting a few messages regarding progress. It's been slow but happening. The Ground Poly is nearly complete. The base and markings are done, I just have to add the details like tire marks and cracks, overall quite pleased with the result so far.

I'm re-doing all the texturing because I was not happy with how it looked in the simulator. I'm currently experimenting ways to make the texturing look better.

All the buildings are in the simulator as you can tell by the pictures. It's a matter of texturing them and finishing the rest of the airport. (Ignore the weird runway and other issues, this was just a quick test in the sim)
