Hi there,

I´m often using SBX to add photorel textures to different airports and most of the time it works fine.

If try to work on bigger ares than the problem starts to begin. Mostly I get the "can´t not build a image" error (add from background option). I read that iti is a moemory problem but I´m using 8GB og memory. Still not enogh?

If I choose smaller parts in intention to make a puzzle of some smaller parts for whole big one then I never know where exactly the border is to set between the single parts. In that option I can´t see which part is already loaded.

Hope you know what I mean

Thanks,
Holger

SBX will only try to make so large of an area before you get the "too big" message. At level 16 I would keep it around ~2,000 tiles (50x40) or there abouts.

If you break it down into two or more parts AND compile each part, you will have an INF file for each part that can be used to make a multisource INF file for the Resample compiler. (Refer to the SDKs for info and examples) When Resample compiles a file, if there is overlapping area(s) it is able to only input what is needed, so there is no bloating from duplication of source.

Also, having smaller source files makes it easier for editing or making blend/water masks.

Thank you,

I think I have to do a deeper look into the ini file which I have never done before. But this seems to be the right direction!

Thanks again,
Holger
