• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hi,
I hope you guys don't forget about FS2004 or FS9. People might think why wasting your time developing an obsolete software back to 2004, 16 years ago. Yes, I agree with you in some points. But for me and others are still like FS2004. Any computers can run it will full speed. Full of addons and most of them are free. Why not give it a new life with some new airport? I have all the stuffs to change to FS9. It is HARDER to make than FSX (believe it or not) in some points. The more we get use to FSX/ P3D platform, the more harder it is since all the procedures were forgotten. I need to recall a lot of tweaking, photoscenery making etc. Here it is, I personally think it is still beautiful to fly.

Thank you Tic for thinking this way and for keeping your knowledge about the best sim ever! I agree with you completely: "Any computers can runs it will full speed. Full of addon an most of them are free. Why not give it a new life with some new airport".

As there are not so many designer left like you, we FS9'er will bundle our money and give it gladly to people like you. Hope you will be satisfied with the sales, once the scenery has come out.

The pictures of your outstanding work are looking absolut fantastic and though there was a quite nice freeware scenery available for our sim (that is quite outdated) your airport will shurely make it to my harddisk...

I'm looking foreward to that day

Awesome!! Thank you so much Tic for not giving the FS9 Veterans up.
We are still a very strong community in some point (not to mentioned that I was blocked in every FS9 Forums though).

Anyway's i love what you are doing and how you are still treating the FS9 community with an unforgettable service! I've allready bought and I am using each and every of your beautiful sceneries so far.
And believe me, I will continue supporting you, as long as you support the FS9 Community...

Thank you very very much! Really appreciate your work and time investment!
Keep on doing it!

Trees in FS9 is quite tough to get. Autogen is spare even you push it all the way to the right. Let's make custom made trees may be better than using Autogen ones.

I couldn't agree more. For the same reason I've made custom trees for my projects, which of course have to be tweaked to match the seasons of the area. Since you are doing custom trees may I humbly suggest you vary the heights of the trees?

Fantastic work Tic. I'd like to join in and thank you for continuing to provide such high quality FS9 airports. Phuket will be a must purchase for me.

Greg

Yes, Greg. The size of them do vary a little. But the seasons in Phuket do not vary much. It is near the equator.

That's quite amazing that there are still developers making project for that out-dated platform. Just keep going and waiting for the final project.

It does not take long to convert from FSX to FS9 but something need to be done again since the method is totally different. Such as Photoscenery, Autogen, animation. However, every objects made by Gmax is just load up to MCX and undo the earth curvature correction then export to FS2004 format. Modified XML a little bit then you got all bgl within a few days. Every textures just use ImageTool to convert to DXT3 and DXT1.
I think the most difficult is Ground poly for satellite photo. You need to downsize the one that you use in FSX and cut it in 1024x1024 tiles. No more than 20 tiles should be OK. More than 30 is impossible. The further tiles will not load their texture.

Hello Tic,
Unfortunately it seems like the Mesh, which you were mentioning in the PDF that comes with the Scenery, is missing either on Avsim or Flightsim Library...
called: "se-asia-mesh-part1.zip".
If you have it, can you please participate that with us or re-upload to avsim or flightsim?

Thanks a ton!
Sincerely from Switzerland.

I found it on my old computer hard drive. I will upload to my Mediafire later. I don't want to upload to avsim since the files changed, no author credit, just only the working files for the whole Thailand and SE asia.
