Hello!
I am new to scenery design and have created, for experimenting, an airport terrain utilizing Gmax and satellite images from google earth . Initially, I encountered the "polygon flickering" problem which I was able to overcome using the methods from the excellent asm tweak and other tutorials mentioned here. The terrain is working well in FS2004.
The gmax model has 36 polygons (3x12) which cover an area of about 6.5x1.6 kilometres.
Out of curiosity, I changed the elevation of certain nodes of the mesh to get sloped runway. I cloned the airport terrain model and attached platform to the clone. I exported the cloned object using FS2004 makemdl, but it appears to be not working. Also, I noticed that if "crash" is enabled in MDL commander, the platform fails to get exported.
Help requested.
Thank you!
