OK I didn't really read all the sdk troubleshooting, I got stuck in the beginning.
It said if you have fsx standard you do not get the sdk on the disk, but then I also installed the accelerator expansion and captain 757 too.
And it said that in the sdk folder on fsx accel do the sp1 and then sdk.msi.
I clicked on sp1 (24 minutes later, yes it did nothing for 24 minutes) it gave me an error message and said I need to first go to the sdk folder on fsx install that first then do sp1 (and then as per your instructions do sdk.msi right after). I checked my fsx disk and it doesn't have any folder called sdk and there is no sdk kind of name on any cab or installer at all on disk 1 or disk 2.
So what do I do? How do I get the sdk that is right for the standard fsx but not mess up accel's sdk installation.
I really really want to start making scenes and stuff but also if I have to uninstall and reinstall fsx again because of an error I will probably die of shock.
I want to make sure by ANY means necessary this will not turn into the 13th full uninstall with the hour long rip out registry thing and painstakingly ridiculousness that the other 12 were (plus reregister and reactivate I don't have 9 hours to spare doing all that again)
So can I just go to the sdk link and download another msi that will work as a bridge to install the sdk that is on the accel disk? Or do I just do sp1 and sdk.msi from the download page? Or do I need to find a link for the deluxe version of sdk?
I don't know if this helps but I have FSX from 2006 and it says part number 0606 Part No. X12-50244-01 on the box. I don't have the box for captain 757 and fsx accel because all the disks can fit in the FSX box and I just took the sticker out of the old box for those. And it says nothing about deluxe (besides deluxe I gather has a sdk folder and mine does not).
