• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Problems with SBuilderX - Maps from disk

Hi there. New to this forum. I posted this over at PT Sim but Luis hasn't got back to me, I don't mean to be inpatient but I'm eager to get going on my scenery!

Can anyone have a look at my posts in this thread and suggest a solution? On here obviously, you don't have to post a solution on that site!

It's that thread. Thank you in advance!

According to what you are showing, a BGL was made in the Work folder. The Work folder is the temporary folder for all compilations, so you can't copy the bgl to its own folder.

Make a different folder as the BGL destination... then it will copy there.

Thanks for the suggestion rhumba, unfortunately it doesn't work. Whilst I do get a BGL, when I open it in FSX it's of the background only - the image I imported from disk is not included in the compilation.

If I try to do it by pressing the green compile button when my bitmap is selected, it just 'flashes' like I said before, as if it compiles something but there is nothing to compile! The progress window pops up for half a second or so...

Am I using the correct method of importing the bitmap?

Is your source photo in the tools\work folder? If not put a copy of your bmp in that folder, do what Dick said about "copy bgl" and try again. If that doesn't work you can try to run resample from a command window with your photo01.inf so the errors are shown.

It's working! Brilliant. Now I can crack on.

One more simple question before I go. How do I get rid of the crappy default dirt runways? They overlay on my photoscenery. I imagine this is a very simple question, and I apologise for being so ignorant! I have had a look around (including the other thread on the main forum page at the minute) but they don't seem to apply.
