• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

"properties" display is cut off

I was trying to make an add-on hangar "crash free", so I can park inside, but find the "do not cause aircraft crash" button cutoff in my display. I don't seem to be able to drag or resize the box. I've tried 8 or 10 different screen resolutions, but no help. I cannot find any other menus, etc. that are cutoff, and it matters not whether I check options for an add-on object or an "fsx original". I've not found anything by searching that matches.

It's always something stupid I'm doing....but I'm at a loss. Font size, display options..can't find any such settings in the manual

xp 32 bit, sp3. 8800gt vid card, 196.75 driver, amd 3800 x2 processor.

Sure appreciate any thoughts. Hope the picture uploads.

Thanks
Gary

Gary,
the pic tells me this has come up before,
i think its something to do with the Font size have you made the change in the DPI settings?
have you changed it from 96 to 120 to make it larger.......

Ray is wright.

I have the fontsize on 96 DPI.
I just changed it to 120 DPI and this produced an exact replica of your screenshot.
So, you should set your system to 96 DPI.

I try to tell you the path, where to change it. But my words might not be totally correct because they are translations from my German WinXP system:

"System Settings => Display => Properties of Display => Settings => Extended => Display-Group => DPI Settings"

Helli

Thanks

The font size was exactly the answer--thank you. I hope (then again, I almost wish it did....)this didn't take you more than a few seconds to solve for me. I hate to tell you how long I've spent stupidly trying to figure this out...unfortunately it wasn't seconds, minutes, or even just hours!!!

Helli--you should never apologize for your English. I think it's better than most Americans', mine included!!! :)

Thanks again,
Gary
