• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.

Removing default paint scheme in MSFS2020

Hello everyone I'm having an issue removing the default paint scheme for a specific aircraft. The aircraft is the Cessna 152. I want to remove the deafult red and black scheme so I can make my own liveries. So basically just a plain white airplane with no color. I've watched quite a few videos but everything I've tried has not produced results. If anyone could help me figure it out I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks for your time

Why do you need to remove it? Do you just not want it in the list of livery choices?
You can have multiple liveries while still having the default livery, too.

I don't understand why you would want a white one over the default? Is it serving a purpose for you?
You can replace the textures in the main aircraft library with whatever textures you want. Of course, that might cause you issues when they update the plane, it's generally not a good idea to edit any of the files in the main directory. All edits should go in the Community directory.

I'm not questioning your desire for a white livery, I just don't understand what creating it does for you in terms of adding more of your own liveries for the plane. It seems an unnecessary step.

(The last thing I ever want is all white planes... for some reason, FS has a prediliction for choosing these as AI aircraft... ick.)

There's a whole thread about options for adding liveries in the MSFS\3D Asset\textures subforum
