• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

reset permanent repositioning of lists windows

On my old dual-core WinXP system I'm still using from time to time an older version (ADE 1.55.4860). I have a two monitor setup (expanded desktop) and years ago I managed to move the parking list permanently to the second monitor as I worked on a big list.

I now want to set the parking list window back to the first monitor and it drives me crazy that I have lost the way I did the permanent repositioning before. I can surely drag the window to the first monitor and close it there, but when I reopen it, it is again on the 2nd screen.

Nearly searched the forum content for hours now and have also read the manual(s) but with no luck.

Any help appreciated.

Hans

Yes and I remember that is was a special keyboard combination to save the new position. But I have lost the combi out of my "old" brain.

I can't say then. I only use one monitor - perhaps someone who has a multi-monitor setup will be able to help

And the mystery goes on. On my 2nd Computer I have ADE installed in the latest version 01.67.5684 and there also a two monitor configuration here with Windows 7 Home Premium 64Bit. All the lists windows appear on the same monitor as the main ADE window but not the parking. This is again on the 2nd monitor in the upper left corner the same as it shows up on the other PC.
I also can state that never any position of the lists windows is saved temporary or permanent , means open it, move it, close it. Then open it again and it opens at the same spot like the first opening and not when it was closed. Curious.

More detail to my multi monitor setup: there are three monitors and two computers. Each PC has one 19" monitor on the first connector of the graphics adapter. The third (22" wide standing in the middle of the two other) ist switched with an electronic switch device between the left and the right (standing under the desk) PC on the 2nd connector. The desktops are expanded and I am working on this kind of configuration since years now with complete satisfaction.

Any help really appreciated.

Hans

All of the lists open on my secondary monitot (on which the ADE main screen is displayed).

The only forms which open on the other screen are the fault-finder and the GP Editor.
