FS2004 Runtime Error 13 'Type Mismatch' when importing SBX file (FIXED)

Hello,

I'm currently undertaking a project of creating some islands that are missing in the FS9 default World scenery. To do so I used SBuilderX's Google maps background feature to draw polygons corresponding to the shape of the island in their correct geographical location.
I then wanted to export these polygons for edit in SBuilderFS9 using the import SBX function.
So far I have tried creating the SBX file with the polygons with no type, and with all of them being type 147 (Legacy_LWM_Land_NoFlatten) but either way I get the aforementioned error in SBuilder9 :/
Is there something I'm missing or doing wrong? How (and I assume it's possible since there should be no reason as to why it's not) could I import these polygons to SBuilder9 if not through this method?

Thank you,

Leonardo

Hi Leo:

If you have not done so already, install SBuilderX version 3.15 and import the *.SBX project file from SBuilderX 3.14.

Then install SBX3TO2 which Luis created following a discussion of the need for such a utility during the SBX315 Beta:

"Tool to export SBX files created by SBuilderX 3.15 in a format that SBuilderX 2.05 can import. It can export back Maps, Lines, Polys, Objects And Excludes. The TYPE parameter of Lines and Polys is written as a null, otherwise SBX205 crashes when reads types used by SBX315. Also the parameter GUID of Lines and Polys is not exported. "

Let me know if this does not resolve the issue for your current project. :)

Hey Gary,

It worked like a charm! I now have my polygons ready for edit in Sbuilder9!
Thanks very much man! You're the supreme savior in this forum haha! :)

Hey Gary,

You're welcome! :)
Yea I posted this problem in the PTSim forums as well and Luis replied to me there with the same suggestion as you, which I also thanked for of course!
His contributions to the community are indeed spectacular and have been total game changers! And just to think that they came from a fellow countryman haha! :D
